INDIANAPOLIS, March 20, 2025 ~ OneCause, a leading provider of digital fundraising technology and host of the annual Raise fundraising conference, has announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 Raise Awards. These awards aim to recognize exceptional nonprofits and fundraisers who are making a difference in their communities through innovative approaches to fundraising.
Steve Johns, chief executive officer for OneCause, expressed his excitement for the upcoming awards, stating, "We're honored to celebrate the incredible work of nonprofits and fundraisers each year through the Raise Awards. Fundraising is not just about raising money, it's about creating opportunities, building connections, and driving real change. The Raise Awards shine a light on those who are making an impact through their dedication and innovation. It's a privilege to recognize these fearless changemakers who are building better tomorrows for all of us."
The Raise Awards will honor outstanding individuals and organizations in three categories: Innovative Nonprofit of the Year, Storyteller of the Year, and Fundraiser of the Year. The Innovative Nonprofit of the Year award will recognize organizations that bring creativity and fresh ideas to fundraising, engaging supporters in new and meaningful ways. The Storyteller of the Year award will honor excellence in sharing mission and impact through compelling narratives, branding, and campaigns that inspire giving. Lastly, the Fundraiser of the Year award will recognize individuals who embody their organization's mission, elevate donor experiences, and go above and beyond to drive impact.

Last year's awards highlighted creative community engagement, authentic storytelling, and transformative leadership in fundraising. Royce Sparks, director of communications and philanthropy at Intermountain Centers for Human Development expressed his pride in Paul O'Rourke being recognized as a 2024 Raise Award winner for his passion-driven work. "At its core," Sparks stated,"fundraising is about bringing people together to make a difference. The Raise Awards celebrate that collective impact." He continued by saying that he is continually inspired by the creativity and dedication of nonprofit fundraisers who are transforming lives every day.
The 2024 Raise Award winners included Madison Reading Project and Safe Harbor Center for Innovative Nonprofits of the Year, MEC Disabilities and Team IMPACT for Storytellers of the Year, and Danny Mendoza with Foster Love, Lisa Buchs with Calvary Women's Services, and Paul O'Rourke with Intermountain Centers for Human Development for Fundraisers of the Year.
Nominations for the Raise Awards can be submitted online at https://raise.onecause.com/awards/ until 11:59 p.m. on June 6, 2025. There is no cost to submit nominations, and they are open to individual fundraisers and nonprofits of all sizes. A committee of nonprofit professionals and industry experts will review submissions based on achievements, campaigns, and events from March 2024 through March 2025.

Winners will receive cash donations to further their missions - $2,500 for Innovative Nonprofit of the Year and Storyteller of the Year winners, and $500 for individual Fundraisers of the Year. The honorees will be recognized at a special awards reception during the Raise 2025 conference in San Antonio, Texas on September 8-9. The conference will take place along the iconic River Walk.
