Denton, TX – May 12, 2025 – Abundance of Hope Counseling, led by Licensed Professional Counselor Chikeitha Owens, proudly announces its partnership with MTV Entertainment Studios for the upcoming Mental Health Action Day on May 15, 2025. This collaboration is part of a global movement aimed at shifting the culture from mental health awareness to mental health action.

Mental Health Action Day, initiated by MTV in 2021, has grown into a coalition of over 2,700 organizations across more than 32 countries. The day emphasizes that, much like physical health, proactive steps can be taken to improve mental well-being.

In alignment with this mission, Abundance of Hope Counseling will host a Virtual Panel Discussion on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:00 PM CST, featuring esteemed mental health professionals and community advocates:

- Dr. Kristie Norwood, Ph.D., LPC, Director of the Student Counseling Center at Hampton University and founder of ReMIND U, LLC. Dr. Norwood is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a focus on trauma-informed care and mental health advocacy in marginalized communities.
