Actress nominated for award in national film festival in Michigan

DALLAS - Txylo -- High Powered actress Sophia Knolton has been nominated for an award at the Black Indiestream Film Festival, in Detroit, Michigan. She is being nominated for her brilliant performance in the feature film, Poison Candy. She portrayed the character of "Candy" in the film produced by JF Bailey Productions. Directed by Demarcus Bailey. The story was written by Demarcus Bailey & Lakisha Avery Stewart.

From the BIFF: Black Indie Stream Film Festival and Award ceremony is a five day invitational event that showcases and celebrates the best black independent narratives in motion pictures on all streaming platforms. The itinerary includes independent film screenings, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and interactive events. BIFFA is a juried festival and award show that acknowledges the best of each film category based on various disciplines of filmmaking. The growth of black narratives has grown expeditiously in recent years with the spirit of individuality and truth that cannot be captured by mainstream counterparts.
