FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 30, 2024 ~ Aero Design Labs (ADL) has recently announced that they have received a Supplementary Type Certificate (STC) from both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for their enhanced Boeing 737-800 drag reduction kit 2.0. This approval marks a significant milestone for the company and their commitment to reducing carbon emissions in the aviation industry.

According to ADL President and CEO, Jeff Martin, the team is thrilled to introduce their next generation of the drag reduction kit, which they have named "ADL Kit 2.0". He stated that this achievement is a testament to their expertise and dedication to improving aviation carbon reduction through continuous improvement processes. The new Kit 2.0 is an evolution from their original designs, incorporating valuable feedback from their launch partners. With EASA's approval, ADL can now offer their carbon reduction kits to new EU airline customers.

The ADL Kit 2.0 boasts new benefits and significantly reduces installation time, resulting in reduced out-of-service time for aircraft conversions. This leads to meaningful fuel savings and reduced carbon emissions for the popular Boeing 737-800 variant. Based on feedback from airline partners, it is expected that the kit can be installed overnight, minimizing critical out-of-service time for airlines.
