Including the bank's major contribution, Unlimited Potential's 2nd Annual Fresh Start Dinner raised over $325,000
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Txylo -- American Momentum Bank was the Presenting Sponsor of Unlimited Potential Brazos Valley's 2nd Annual Fresh Start Dinner, held on April 28 at the Miramont Country Club. Including the bank's $25,000 contribution, the fundraising event raised over $325,000, which will support the charity's Fresh Start Campaign to build a new, state-of-the-art transitional living center in College Station for some of the community's most vulnerable young adults.
Each year, 1,500 Texas youth leave the foster care system after they turn 18. Twenty percent of those young adults immediately become homeless. The Fresh Start Campaign aims to positively impact this statistic.
"American Momentum Bank was happy to support Unlimited Potential's Fresh Start Dinner," said Frank Varisco, Market President – Bryan/College Station at American Momentum Bank. "This nonprofit organization strives to help young people from our community who leave the foster care system and may otherwise end up on the streets, with no support structure and very little preparation for life."

Plans for the new facility, located at 1115 Anderson Street, include providing transitional housing in a safe space, as well as counseling, and music and art therapy. It will also offer residents training and resources to support their education, job skills and basic life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, baby care.
"This sponsorship's impact is truly transformative for some of the most vulnerable youth in our community," said Unlimited Potential Executive Director Kelyn Wardlaw. "American Momentum's contribution propels us toward our goal of providing a safe and supportive environment for youth aging out of foster care to have a place where they can breathe and develop the necessary skills to build a life they love."
