DALLAS, June 18, 2025 ~ Certiport, a Pearson VUE business and the leading provider of performance-based IT certification exams, has announced the winners of the 2025 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship. The live competitive event, held in Grapevine, Texas, saw 190 finalists competing for the top spot in six different tracks.

The first-place winners from each track will now move on to represent the United States at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in Orlando, Florida in July. This prestigious event will see them compete against over one hundred other finalists from countries around the world.

Among the champions are Chase Otto from Ohio for Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps), Isabel Winkler from Michigan for Microsoft PowerPoint (Office 2019), Noah Sanvick from Minnesota for Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365 Apps), Brenden Fruauff from Florida for Microsoft PowerPoint (Microsoft 365 Apps), Tony Jin from Texas for Microsoft Word (Office 2019), and Xavier Diebold from Wisconsin for Microsoft Excel (Office 2019).

These students aged 13 to 22 were selected after submitting a qualified passing score on one of three certification exams: Microsoft Office Specialist Word, Microsoft Office Specialist Excel®, and Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint®.

At the live event, finalists were put to the test on their knowledge and mastery of Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. The first-place winners received a cash prize of $3,000 while those in second place earned $2,000 and third-place winners took home $1,000. In addition to this, all champions and their chaperones have also won a trip to participate in the upcoming World Championship.

Dr. Gary Gates, Managing Director at Pearson VUE expressed his admiration for the students' high level of understanding and use of Microsoft programs. He also highlighted how this achievement will benefit them in their future academic and career pursuits by providing them with valuable skills and certifications.

Kate Maxwell, General Manager Worldwide Education Industry at Microsoft, also praised the students for their technical expertise and creativity. She emphasized that the competition not only provides them with a certification but also equips them with skills that will open doors to endless opportunities.
