SAN ANTONIO - Txylo -- New Year, New You! In 2023, community members are encouraged to donate non-perishable food and other essential items at conveniently located Community First Food Pantry locations. By making 2023 the year we fight hunger, we ensure no one in the community is hungry while curbing food insecurity and social health challenges.
Bexar County residents and the surrounding areas are invited to help in the fight against food insecurity by stopping by one of Community First's Food Pantry locations at their convenience to donate needed non-perishable items. Donations can be canned goods, dry goods, feminine products, diapers, personal hygiene items, small toys, and warm clothing such as socks and mittens.
"After installing over 40 food pantries by the end of 2022, I am excited to begin 2023 with our goals of encouraging our local community to donate non-perishable goods to pantries in their area and partnering with more organizations in Bexar and the surrounding counties to make sure all communities are reached," says Theresa Scepanski, President and CEO, Community First Health Plans

Community First Food Pantries are conveniently located, free-standing, and weatherproof structures. Working with key community partners, the public can access most food pantries 24/7 at no cost, with no registration or sign-up needed.
