Community Resources Planning Launches Free Career Counseling Program in Partnership with Southern Careers Institute. Monthly Workshops to Support Waco's High School Seniors, Veterans, and Job Seekers Begin July 2024.
WACO, Texas - Txylo -- Community Resources Planning (CRP) is proud to announce the launch of its Career Counseling Program, a new monthly initiative aimed at empowering local residents to explore and prepare for meaningful careers. Beginning in July 2024, this free program will offer hands-on career workshops led by seasoned professionals from high-demand industries.
CRP has partnered with Southern Careers Institute (SCI) to host these workshops in their modern classroom facilities, offering participants access to a professional learning environment right here in Waco. The program specifically targets high school seniors, unemployed or under-employed individuals, veterans, and residents looking for professional growth.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with SCI to bring this much-needed resource to our community," said Javier Jardón, President of Community Resources Planning. "By connecting people with industry experts and offering practical support, we're helping individuals take meaningful steps toward long-term career success."
Each monthly workshop will feature a 45-minute presentation by a local industry leader, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. Participants will also receive free job search assistance and professional resume writing support to help them confidently pursue employment opportunities.
Whether participants are interested in fields such as medical assisting, cosmetology, electrical work, insurance, public safety, or photography, the Career Counseling Program provides a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and prepare for the next step.
Registration is free and open to the public. The first session will be held in July 2024, with a new topic featured each month thereafter.
