SAN ANTONIO (September 26, 2022) –The results of this year's J.D. Power North American Airport Customer Satisfaction survey were recently released. In the category of large airports - between 10 million and 32.9 million passengers per year - San Antonio International Airport (SAT) ranked ninth out of 27 facilities.

"There are many things to be proud of in these results," said District 6 Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda, who chairs the Council's Transportation and Mobility Committee. "This is a customer-based survey, so it measures what visitors to the airport think about the facility, and it shows what's being done right and what needs to be worked on."

The survey scores terminal facilities, arrivals and departures, baggage claim, security checks, check-ins, and food, beverage and retail operations.

"I'm a strong and vocal supporter of the airport and see the results of this survey as proof of momentum for transformational airport development," said the Councilwoman.

SAT was ranked better than many large city airports, including Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Nashville International and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

SAT will soon unveil two new gates in Terminal B and one in Terminal A and start construction of a new Terminal C in 2024.
