This event is extreme heat, and drought. This drastic change in weather has caused the depletion of water resources, and food. The NOAA reported that in the United States alone there is a drought coverage of 44.6%. A deputy global editor that goes by the name of Nikhil Kumar spoke in a recent report that the current world food crisis is not entirely because of the Ukraine war with Russia. According to the CNN Reporter Judson Jones, the continual drought has caused agriculture issues in the Great Plains, and water scarcity in the Northeastern states.
