Ervin D. Lee as Chairman of the Board during the organization's 20th Anniversary year. This milestone marks two decades of service dedicated to providing stable, faith-based transitional housing and life-transforming support for men and women rebuilding their lives after crisis, homelessness, and incarceration.

Founded in October 2006, Free Man House was built on a simple but powerful belief: every person deserves a safe place to rebuild their life. What began as a focused mission to support individuals returning from incarceration quickly expanded to serve those overcoming homelessness and addiction. For 20 years, the organization has provided clean, sober living environments rooted in faith, accountability, structure, and community—helping countless individuals move from crisis to contribution.

Ervin D. Lee brings more than 20 years of corporate leadership experience, along with a strong entrepreneurial background and extensive nonprofit board service. He previously served as Co-Chairman of the Board for Embrace Life Initiative and as a Board Member for the Texas Package Store Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Men of Nehemiah.

As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Lee will provide strategic oversight and governance as Free Man House expands its reach and impact. His leadership comes at a pivotal time as the demand for transitional housing and holistic support services continues to grow.

Co-Founder Barb Freeman reflected on the milestone: "Although the need for stable housing was great in 2006—and remains urgent today—we have never wavered in our purpose. We continue to provide clean, sober living environments where individuals rediscover hope and reclaim their potential."
