The workshop aims to promote the development of the music industry in Texas and provide communities with the necessary tools for success.

Governor Abbott emphasized the importance of music in the state's brand and local economies, stating that it has helped create new jobs and generate over $26 billion in annual economic activity. He also thanked TMO for their efforts in helping communities, both large and small, form creative partnerships to support the music industry.

The workshop will feature TMO Community Relations and Outreach Specialist Gini Mascorro, who will explain the benefits of becoming a certified Music Friendly Texas Community and answer any questions. This program was first introduced by TMO in 2016 and has since been adopted by over 60 cities in Texas.
