~ Governor Greg Abbott has announced the reappointment of Sandy Galvan, Joe Canales, and Roberto De Leon and the appointment of Derek Delgado to the One-Call Board of Texas. The Board is responsible for overseeing "Call Before You Dig" systems that alert underground facility operators of excavation plans to prevent accidents.
Sandy Galvan, a retired school administrator and partner at Ardaga and Associates from San Antonio, is an active community volunteer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master of Arts in Leadership, Administration, and Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Joe Canales from Frisco is senior director of construction at Spectrum. He was previously on the Time Warner Cable Diversity Council and is an active member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers. Canales is a veteran of the United States Army Reserve, retiring after 22 years of service.

Roberto De Leon from Corpus Christi is a region support manager for AEP Texas. He was previously United Way AEP Texas Campaign Coordinator and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.
Derek Delgado from Pasadena is pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management from Louisiana State University Shreveport. He serves as both firefighter and reporter for the Pasadena Fire Department and earned his Bachelor of Science from The University of Houston Clear Lake where he was appointed student regent for the University System.
The terms for these appointments are set to expire on August 31, 2025 pending Senate confirmation.
