~ Governor Greg Abbott has recently announced the appointment of three individuals to the Texas Tech University (TTU) System Board of Regents. Doug McReaken and Donald R. Sinclair have been appointed, while Dusty Womble has been reappointed for terms set to expire on January 31, 2031.
McReaken, a resident of Pearland, brings a wealth of experience to the board. He currently serves as the chief operating officer and executive vice president of Media Riders, Inc., as well as holding positions as chairman for Sno Country, Inc. and Texas Waste Co. Additionally, he is the president of McReaken & Associates and McReaken Agriculture, LLC, Water Meter Services and McReaken Enterprises. McReaken is also actively involved in his community, serving as a board member for Kappa Sigma Texas Tech Southwest Education Fund and volunteering with organizations such as the Houston Livestock Show and Pearland Lions Club. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from TTU.
Sinclair, a resident of Houston, brings over 40 years of experience in the energy industry to his role on the board. He currently serves on the board of directors for two energy companies and is an officer and senior member of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors. Sinclair is also a member of the TTU Bob L. Herd Academy of Petroleum Engineering and has previously served as chairman for both the TTU Rawls College of Business Advisory Council and the Texas Tech Foundation, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from TTU.

Womble, a resident of Lubbock, has been reappointed to the board after previously serving on both the Rawls Business School Advisory Board and the Texas Tech Foundation Executive Board. He is also a founding partner at Masked Rider Capital and currently serves as chairman for Service Compression, LLC. Womble's involvement in his community extends to his role on the BIG XII Advisory Board and the Lubbock Christian School Board. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from TTU and was recognized as a distinguished alumni of the Rawls College in 2022.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate, but if approved, McReaken, Sinclair, and Womble will serve on the TTU System Board of Regents until January 31, 2031. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences will bring valuable perspectives to the board as they work towards advancing the mission of Texas Tech University.
