~ Governor Greg Abbott has recently announced the appointment of Tim Timmerman and the reappointment of Bobby Patton to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission. Both individuals will serve on the commission until February 1, 2031.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission is responsible for managing and conserving the natural and cultural resources of Texas. They also provide opportunities for hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation for both present and future generations.

Timothy "Tim" Timmerman, a resident of Austin, brings a wealth of experience to the commission. He is the owner of Timmerman Capital LLC and several real estate investment and development entities. In addition, he serves as the president of the Colorado River Land Trust and is a board member for various organizations such as Central Texas Community Foundation, Austin Area Research Organization, YMCA of Central Texas, and Texas Business Leadership Council. He is also a member of the Texas A&M University Chancellor's Century Council and Legacy Society. Timmerman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.

Bobby Patton, hailing from Fort Worth, has been reappointed to the commission by Governor Abbott. He currently serves as president of Texas Capitalization Resource Group Inc. Patton is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and serves on various boards including UT Development Board, UT Marine Science Institute, UT Liberal Arts Advisory Council, and Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. He was previously chairman of the PGA Tournament Committee for Charles Schwab. Patton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, a Juris Doctor from St. Mary's Law School, and a Master of Laws from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

These appointments are subject to Senate confirmation before they can officially join the commission in their roles as commissioners. With their extensive backgrounds in business and community involvement, Timmerman and Patton are well-equipped to serve on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission and continue to preserve the natural beauty of Texas for generations to come.
