AUSTIN, Texas, March 1, 2024 ~ GovOS, Inc., a leading provider of cloud software for state and local government, has announced the appointment of Matt Coury as its new chief executive officer. The decision was made by the company's board of directors and will be effective from March 1, 2024.
Coury, who has been with GovOS since January 2022, previously served as the company's president and chief operating officer. In addition to his new role as CEO, he has also been appointed to GovOS's board of directors.
The current CEO and founder of GovOS, Michael Crosno, will be transitioning to the role of executive chairman on March 1, 2024. He will continue to serve as a member of the board and will focus on strategic initiatives and advising Coury and the senior team.
Crosno expressed his excitement about Coury taking over as CEO, stating that he has witnessed his determination, collaborative spirit, and commitment to customers firsthand. He believes that Coury is the right person to lead GovOS into its next stage of growth.

In his previous role as president and COO, Coury was responsible for product development and innovation, sales and marketing, customer success and professional services. He also played a key role in driving execution and accountability across the company.
Before joining GovOS in 2022, Coury worked at Vista Equity Partners where he led the Value Creation Director Team. He also spent over eight years at Boston Consulting Group where he helped companies with integration and strategic transformation.
Coury expressed his honor and excitement about leading GovOS in its next phase of innovation and growth. He sees a great opportunity for the company to help state and local governments improve their operations and better serve their communities. He plans to continue investing in innovation while focusing on execution to strengthen GovOS's position in the industry.
To support this transition, Josh Stanley will take on additional responsibilities as both chief operating officer and chief financial officer, effective March 1, 2024. Stanley previously served as the company's chief financial officer and will now also oversee day-to-day management of key functions.
