VICTORIA, Texas - Txylo -- Victoria, Texas — Hospice of South Texas® (HOST) has appointed Laurie Eder as Chief Executive Officer after her service as Interim CEO since March 2025.
Eder is building on the forty-year legacy of Hospice of South Texas with a focus on compassion and community. She encourages collaboration and open communication while guiding steady growth that keeps patients and families at the center of care. Her passion for hospice began with her own family's experience with Hospice of South Texas and continues to shape her leadership today.
"Laurie has brought strong leadership and focus to our organization," said Pastor Herb Byer Board Chair. "Her direction reflects the values that make Hospice of South Texas trusted throughout the region."

Eder brings a broad background in marketing, business development, and team leadership. Her people-centered approach supports the mission of the area's only nonprofit hospice.
"I am honored to lead an organization that delivers five-star quality care, recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, to patients and families across rural South Texas," said Eder. "As a nonprofit provider, we reinvest in our community to expand comfort and care for every family who needs us."
Hospice of South Texas, founded in 1985, remains the region's only nonprofit hospice provider, serving patients and families in a twelve-county area.
