The new app applies neuroscience and attentional design to help users reduce digital overload
HOUSTON - Txylo -- Kaamos Labs today announced the launch of Polaris Focus, a focus and attention app designed to help people rebuild a healthier relationship with time, attention, and technology.
Built by a research-driven design studio, Polaris Focus applies insights from neuroscience, cognitive science, and time perception research. The app is guided by Kaamos Labs' Attentional Design framework, which prioritizes presence and intentional focus over speed, urgency, or engagement-driven metrics.
"Most digital tools are designed to demand attention," said Victoria, co-founder of Kaamos Labs. "Polaris Focus was designed to do the opposite – to help people reclaim time and attention in a way that feels sustainable and human."

Unlike traditional productivity apps that optimize for output or constant interaction, Polaris Focus is intentionally minimal and research-led. The product is accompanied by a published white paper outlining the scientific and philosophical foundations behind its design, positioning the app as both a tool and a contribution to the broader conversation about digital wellbeing.
Kaamos Labs is an independent design and research studio focused on attention, time perception, and digital wellbeing. Founded by a product designer and an engineer, Kaamos Labs combines research, systems thinking, and human-centered design to build tools that address digital overload and attention fragmentation.
