DALLAS, Sept. 9, 2025 ~ Broadwing Capital, a private equity firm based in Dallas, has announced that its portfolio company LEHR has acquired L&W Emergency Outfitters and Alaska Safety Inc. These strategic acquisitions will expand LEHR's national emergency vehicle services upfitting platform and add new offerings in personal protective equipment.

Since Broadwing's initial investment in 2024, LEHR has completed six add-on acquisitions as part of its buy-and-build strategy. This has contributed to the company's strong organic growth and solidified its position as a leading provider of services to police, emergency, transportation departments, and other agencies. With approximately 300 technicians and 27 locations across the nation, LEHR is well-equipped to serve its clients.

According to Daniel Hamm, Chief Executive Officer of the LEHR Platform, these transactions are a significant step towards achieving their goal of expanding their national footprint and enhancing their service offerings for law enforcement and other agencies. He stated, "This marks an important milestone in our growth journey and will enable us to further deliver upon our vision of seeing every First Responder thoroughly equipped to respond to each emergency."

L&W Emergency Outfitters was founded in 2008 by former law enforcement officer Lance Roe. From humble beginnings as a home garage startup, L&W has grown into a team of 65 employees. The company operates two full-service facilities that provide upfitting services for police, emergency, and commercial vehicles in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. Roe will continue as the president of L&W under the new ownership.

Roe expressed his excitement about joining forces with LEHR, saying that it will accelerate their growth and improve installation timelines for agencies in their service area. He added, "I eagerly await the future of L&W as it enters this exciting new chapter of possibilities as part of LEHR."

Alaska Safety Inc., founded in 1996, is a trusted provider of industrial safety supplies, personal protective equipment, and emergency vehicle upfitting. The company has built a reputation for its high-quality service and will now extend LEHR's geographic presence into Alaska while enhancing its product capabilities. Clint VanNoy, the president of Alaska Safety, will continue to lead the company under LEHR's ownership.
