HOUSTON, Feb. 3, 2025 ~ Houston, Texas - Nauticus Robotics, Inc. (NASDAQ: KITT), a leading company in the field of autonomous subsea robotics and software, has recently announced the completion of assembly for its second flagship underwater vehicle, the Aquanaut Mark 2.
The assembly and initial acceptance testing for the vehicle were completed at Nauticus' facility in Houston in January. Currently, the Aquanaut Mark 2 is undergoing further acceptance testing in Louisiana and is expected to complete pool testing by the end of this month. The final phase of testing will take place in open water off the southern coast of the United States. Nauticus aims to complete all acceptance testing for this vehicle within the first quarter of 2025.
John Gibson, CEO and President of Nauticus Robotics, expressed his satisfaction with the progress made by stating, "We are pleased to have a second Aquanaut Mark 2 and are working diligently to expand our fleet."
Nauticus Robotics specializes in developing autonomous robots for various ocean industries. Their technology relies on advanced sensors, artificial intelligence, and effective algorithms to enable their robots to adapt to changing environments. The company's business model includes providing robotic services, selling vehicles and components, as well as licensing related software to both commercial and defense sectors.

In addition to their standalone services and products, Nauticus has also developed a range of technology products that can be retrofitted or upgraded onto traditional remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) or other third-party vehicle platforms. These services aim to reduce operational costs and gather data necessary for maintaining and operating subsea infrastructure.
Nauticus' services also offer customers data collection, analytics, and subsea manipulation capabilities that can support asset maintenance while reducing operational footprint, costs, and greenhouse gas emissions. This approach not only improves offshore health and safety but also reduces environmental exposure.
As with any forward-looking company, Nauticus Robotics urges caution when considering their plans and projections. However, with the completion of assembly for their second Aquanaut Mark 2 and ongoing testing, it is clear that Nauticus is making significant strides in the field of autonomous subsea robotics.
