AUSTIN, Texas - Txylo -- Jobs in renewable energy are trending upwards as global businesses embrace more environmentally friendly, sustainable ways of life. "Green" jobs have moved beyond being a buzzword to a more all-encompassing move to conducting business in a way that doesn't harm our environment.
In fact, research suggests that green jobs or renewable jobs have grown nearly 250% over the last five years alone. An increasing number of businesses are looking to hire for sustainable positions, while more jobseekers are also looking to take on jobs in the green sector.
There have been billions of dollars of investments made in this arena. There's just one problem: despite their boom in popularity, green jobs are struggling to find suitably skilled workers to hire. But both jobseekers and employers have a new resource they can rely on to bridge this gap, in the form of EcoCareers.org.

EcoCareers.org is an online jobs board and resource website for all jobs in sustainability, whether traditional green jobs like solar panel technicians or environmental scientists to jobs in industries that are newer to sustainability, like fashion and manufacturing. EcoCareers.org seeks to connect employers, hiring managers and HR personnel in the green sector with jobseekers and the top talent in their respective industries.
The website was created as a way to help address the needs of the green sector as they source the best talent while trying to operate their businesses in a sustainable way. While ongoing efforts in skills and jobs training will be needed to ensure more people are sufficiently qualified to work in the green economy, resources like EcoCareers will help to close the labour shortage in this increasingly vital field.
"Many businesses are taking the climate crisis seriously, and looking to expand their jobs into the green sector," said Joseph Boll, EcoCareers.org CEO. "This is fantastic news for sustainability efforts, and for the world we all call home. It also comes with challenges in terms of finding talent, and that's something we want to help address."

Boll is the founder and CEO of several speciality job resource sites that have seen success over the past few years. EcoCareers has become just one of the latest to launch, in line with the same sustainability goals and values that have driven the parent company.
"We hope that, through EcoCareers, we can help make the green labour market more accessible and easy to navigate for both jobseekers and employers alike," Boll added.
