POMDP, Inc. has added group play features to their family-developed game

AUSTIN, Texas - Txylo -- POMDP, Inc. has announced the launch of new multiplayer game variations of their web-based word puzzle, virtual travel game — Plates Across America. These features allow groups of family, friends or co-workers to experience fun and challenges in a word competition. The new multiplayer features of Plates Across America are available on the game's website.

Plates Across America® challenges players to solve license plate letter puzzles while virtually traveling the United States along some of its most famous routes. The multiplayer game allows up to 10 players to be invited and compete comparing their scores on the same word puzzles. The two-player "race" variation of the game allows automatic matching of opponents with similar skill levels to play in a head-to-head match up. The game provides hours of entertainment for all ages and skill levels since it has a simple set of rules that makes it easy to learn. At the same time, there are many variations that make it hard to master.

"We had noticed our game being played as a group with multiple family members contributing answers to a single person playing the game. Everyone wanted to make their guess.  This made the group game seem such a natural and obvious feature that we are somewhat ashamed to have taken so long to get around to it."

The multiplayer game offers the following:

- Three games in one: a single player travel game, multiplayer and a two-player race game.
- Over 14,000 different word puzzles and over 8 million possible answers.
- Customizable vehicle avatars.
- Personalized pages for tracking all your stats.
- Leader boards and top scores.
- In-game invitations to include family, friends and co-workers.

With these in-game features, Plates Across America provides hours of entertainment for people of all ages. Players can test their word skills by playing the game online. They can also join the Plates Across America community on Facebook and Twitter.
