DALLAS, July 29, 2024 ~ BBG, a top independent commercial real estate services firm, has announced the appointment of Brian Tankersley as the new Managing Director of their Los Angeles office. With over 20 years of experience in valuing various types of commercial properties, Tankersley will lead the expansion of BBG's operations in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country.
Tankersley brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. He has previously served as Managing Director at KPMG, where he managed client relationships and engagement teams for real estate and consulting matters. He also directed the firm's REIT sales and marketing initiatives and provided valuation services to various REITs and investment funds. Additionally, he developed specialized practice areas for market studies, timeshare studies, and feasibility studies.
Most recently, Tankersley was a Senior Valuation Services Director at Colliers International's Los Angeles office, where he oversaw the growth of financial reporting, tax, and cost segregation nationally.

Tankersley holds a master's degree in real estate and a bachelor's degree in business economics and mathematics from the University of San Diego.
BBG Executive Managing Director Phil Hanshew expressed his excitement about Tankersley joining their team. "We are thrilled to have someone with Brian's caliber join our team," said Hanshew. In his new role at BBG, Tankersley will work alongside Directors Scott Shulze and Kim Kearney at the Los Angeles office. The firm has also announced that their office has expanded and relocated to 700 South Flower Street.
