DENVER, Aug. 11, 2025 ~ REMAX, the leading name in real estate, has joined forces with NFL wide receiver Matthew Golden to fulfill his promise of purchasing a house for his beloved grandmother. In an interview following his selection as a first-round draft pick for the Green Bay Packers, Golden revealed his plan to use his NFL signing bonus to buy back his childhood home in the Houston area. With the help of the global real estate franchisor, Golden was able to navigate the homebuying process and achieve his goal before his rookie season officially begins.

Golden worked closely with Nimesh Patel, Broker/Owner of REMAX Fine Properties in Texas, to find the perfect home for his grandmother. Together, they searched for options and faced challenges along the way. Unfortunately, they discovered that Golden's grandmother's original home was not available for purchase. However, they successfully pivoted and found a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in Kohrville, Texas – just two miles from where Golden grew up and in the same neighborhood where he attended high school.

Expressing his gratitude for REMAX and Patel's assistance, Golden shared, "It was such a blessing to work with REMAX and Nimesh to help me achieve this goal. My grandmother has done so much for me, and I'm humbled to be able to give back to her in this way. While we weren't able to purchase our family home, we've found a house in an area that's also meaningful to me. Home is where my family is and I'm excited for us to enjoy many meals, holidays and football watch parties together."

In a heartwarming gesture, Patel has donated his commission from the home sale to Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. CMN Hospitals raises funds for children's hospitals in the U.S. and Canada, and REMAX affiliates have donated over $218 million since 1992. All donations stay local to benefit hospitals in the areas where agents serve.

The entire process of Golden's search for his grandmother's dream home was captured by REMAX on YouTube. The documentary video showcases Golden meeting with Patel, visiting the original house, and making an offer on another listing – along with his grandmother's emotional reaction.
