HOUSTON and MIAMI, July 15, 2024 ~ Rural Telecommunications of America (RTA) is making waves in the industry once again with the announcement of their newest Data Center opening in Miami, Florida. This expansion comes as no surprise as RTA continues to grow and provide top-notch services to its customers.
The new Data Center, located in the Equinix M1 facility, will bring RTA's total number of co-location facilities to 16 across the United States. This strategic move will allow RTA to better serve its Direct Internet Access (DIA) Wholesale customers by providing faster internet speeds up to 100Gbps, low latency, and immediate security resolutions with free DDOS protection.

According to Donald Workman, RTA's COO, this expansion was necessary due to the increasing number of Internet Service Providers in the Southeast U.S. joining RTA's gigFAST NETWORK®. He stated, "It was imperative that we open a co-location facility in Miami to facilitate this rapid growth."
With a focus on speed and efficiency, RTA's VP of Sales, Frank Befera, shared that they are now seeing a trend of customers requesting 100 gig services. In response to this demand, RTA is offering 100G pricing for what many are currently paying for 10G.
In addition to providing lightning-fast internet speeds, each of RTA's data centers boasts redundant paths and power while meeting or exceeding U.S. security standards. With this latest expansion in Miami, it is clear that RTA is committed to providing top-of-the-line services and staying ahead of industry trends.
