San Antonio: Councilwoman Phyllis Viagran Congratulates Air Force Basic Military Training Graduates

SAN ANTONIO (July 22, 2021) — Today, the Air Force Basic Military Training graduation is scheduled to take place at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.  It will be the first time that guests are allowed at gatherings on the military instillation since the Covid-19 pandemic began in March of 2020. New protocols are in place and graduates will be allowed to have a limited number of friends and family at the ceremony.  Councilwoman Phyllis Viagran issued the following statement congratulating the Air Force Basic Military Graduates:

"Military City USA congratulates all graduates today! What a momentous occasion this is, celebrating our Air and Space Force's newest members who are embarking on their military journey.  Even though the graduation ceremony and activities will look different this year, it is exciting to welcome back visitors to witness this special day. Special thanks to all friends and family who followed protocols and received their Covid-19 vaccinations to attend this occasion. San Antonians take pride in celebrating our active service men and women, and veterans.  We welcome all family members to our city to experience all that San Antonio has to offer.  Thank you for your service, we are proud of you."
