San Antonio: Councilwoman Phyllis Viagran Issues Statement on Crash at the 3000 Block of E. Southcross

SAN ANTONIO (July 19, 2021) — Today, Councilwoman Phyllis Viagran issued the following statement on the crash that took place on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the 3000 block of E. Southcross:

"The crash that took place on Saturday, July 17th at the 3000 block of E. Southcross was an unfortunate event.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the young boy who was injured.  The District 3 office has visited the site where the crash took place and is planning to work with the City on identifying potential improvements.  We are aware of incidents in this area and will work with city departments to enhance our residents safety. Our office is working with SAPD and Public Works. We are waiting for further details on this case.  District 3 would like to thank our first responders for acting quickly and our solid waste department for cleaning up the affected area.  We will give further updates as we receive them."
