The project includes approximately 0.64 miles of trail between Southeast Military to the Monte Viejo neighborhood trailhead. In addition, the project will feature low impact development parking, shade structures, tree plantings, signage, and other amenities.

Funding sources include $1,475,000.00 from the voter approved Sales Tax Venue funds and is part of the adopted FY 2022 - FY 2027 Capital Improvement Program. Additional funding includes $300,000.00 from the FY 2022 Tree Canopy Preservation and Mitigation Fund which will be used for tree plantings and supporting irrigation at the trailhead. Construction will begin this summer and is anticipated to be completed by summer 2023.
