HOUSTON - Txylo -- Hailing from Houston, Slade Ham has performed stand-up comedy in 60 countries on six continents. His new full-length special, Signal/Noise, is out now.
His new special looks at what is and isn't important in our lives, showcasing his signature storytelling style alongside clever social commentary, and features music and an introduction by rap legend, Scarface.
The film is a follow up to Andy Huggins: Early Bird Special, Ham's directorial debut that captured the life's work of legendary Outlaw Comic, Andy Huggins. That special was picked up for distribution by Comedy Dynamics. Turning down offers for his own special, Ham opted to write, produce, and finance the film himself. "There are so many reasons to keep other 'producers' out of the gumbo. We made something great and I don't want to see it hidden behind a paywall."
Ham is has opted for a direct-to-YouTube release for his new feature.

Ham worked with frequent collaborators Adam Taylor and Rob Neilson on the effort. "We made something different with this film. You can't stand out with just three cameras in a room anymore," Ham says, referring to the slough of recorded sets being released in 2024. He added, "A special… should be."
Offstage, you can read Until All the Dragons Are Dead, his collection of critically-acclaimed stories. He is also featured prominently in Jordan Brady's I Am Battle Comic, picked up a Comedia award at Just for Laughs, and was a staff writer for the African Film Critics Awards.
Ham also hosts the weekly Slade Ham Experiment, the wildly popular bi-weekly Whiskey Brothers Podcast, and is featured in over 30 episodes of Slade Runner, a travel series following his adventures around the globe.
Signal/Noise is Ham at his best, however. It's stand-up all the way down. Slade Ham: Signal/Noise, out now.
