Clinic brings free, Medicaid-covered behavioral health services directly to families in East Fort Worth — offering in-home, school, and community-based care.
FORT WORTH, Texas - Txylo -- Texas Care Stop 6, a locally owned behavioral health clinic, has officially opened to provide free, in-home and community-based behavioral health services for children and families across East Fort Worth.
Texas continues to rank among the lowest states in the nation for access to mental health care, according to Mental Health America's State of Mental Health in America report. The founders of Texas Care Stop 6 aim to change that — starting right in their own neighborhood.
"Our community deserves better access to care," said Khadijah Johnson, Owner of Texas Care Stop 6. "Families shouldn't have to travel across town or wait months for help. Our team comes to you — at home, school, or wherever your child feels most comfortable."
All services at Texas Care Stop 6 are covered by Medicaid, meaning families pay no out-of-pocket cost. The clinic's licensed clinicians and Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) provide counseling, skills training, and family support designed to help children manage behavioral, emotional, and social challenges that affect school success and daily life.
