Texas: Governor Abbott Announces 2024 Governor’s Small Business Summit Host Cities

~ Governor Greg Abbott has announced the selection of 15 communities as host cities for the 2024 Governor's Small Business Summit. This annual event, held throughout the year and in various regions across Texas, aims to support small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs by connecting them with valuable resources and information to start, strengthen, and grow their businesses.

In a statement, Governor Abbott emphasized the importance of small businesses in Texas, stating that they are the "very heart" of communities and the backbone of the state's economy. With over 3.2 million small businesses employing nearly half of the Texas workforce, it is clear that these businesses play a crucial role in driving economic growth.

Texas has been recognized as a top state for small business job growth, providing ample opportunities for businesses of all sizes to thrive. The Governor congratulated the 15 selected communities and invited all small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to attend a Governor's Small Business Summit to take their businesses to new heights for a bigger and better Texas.

The Governor's Small Business Summit offers a variety of sessions that bring together local, state, and federal resource partners to provide key insights on critical business topics. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other business owners and meet experts who will share timely, relevant, and actionable advice on a multitude of small business topics.

Registration is now open for all 2024 Governor's Small Business Summit locations. The schedule includes events in Weslaco on April 4th, Corpus Christi on April 18th, Pampa on May 2nd, Round Rock on May 30th, Lufkin/East Texas on June 27th, Galveston/Gulf Coast on July 18th, Plainview on August 8th, Odessa on August 22nd, Weatherford on September 5th, El Paso on September 19th, Buffalo on October 3rd , New Braunfels on October 17th, Sweetwater on October 31st, Wichita Falls on November 14th, and Kaufman on December 5th.
