~ Plano, Texas - Governor Greg Abbott has announced that NTxBio, a biotechnology company, will be establishing a new biomanufacturing facility in Plano. This project is expected to create over 170 new jobs and bring in more than $31 million in capital investment. The company has also been granted a Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant of $1,479,000 to support their expansion.

NTx was founded in 2015 and specializes in manufacturing pharmaceutical-grade raw materials used in the development of RNA and protein therapeutics. The company's President and CEO, Dr. Jamie Coffin, expressed their enthusiasm for expanding into Plano and being a part of the booming biotech community in Texas. They plan to open their production facility in partnership with the City of Plano and the State of Texas, alongside their existing R&D facility in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
