~ Buda, Texas - Governor Greg Abbott has announced that US Foods, Inc. will be expanding their existing food distribution and warehousing facility in Buda. This expansion is expected to create 165 new jobs and bring in over $120 million in capital investment. The company, a leading food service distributor, offers a wide range of innovative food options and comprehensive business solutions through e-commerce and technology.
The expansion has been made possible through a grant of $1,072,500 from the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF). Governor Abbott expressed his excitement about the investment and the positive impact it will have on the state's economy. He stated, "This significant investment in Buda brings 165 new, good-paying jobs for hardworking Texans in Central Texas and showcases the strength of our state's economy."
Senator Donna Campbell also shared her enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its potential to create new opportunities for families and strengthen the economy. She said, "With 165 new jobs and an impressive capital investment, this project isn't just about business growth, it's about giving families new opportunities and strengthening Texas's economy."

US Foods Area President Taylor McIntyre expressed gratitude towards the Office of the Texas Governor for their support and emphasized the company's commitment to continue growing and enhancing their partnership with foodservice operators in the region.
The expansion is expected to have a positive impact on Central Texas' distribution network as well. Senator Judith Zaffirini stated that it will enhance food distribution along the I-35 corridor, especially to Austin's renowned food scene.

Buda Mayor Lee Urbanovsky said that it was a top priority for City Council to keep US Foods in Buda and thanked Governor Abbott for his support.
