~ Buda, Texas - Governor Greg Abbott has announced that US Foods, Inc. will be expanding their existing food distribution and warehousing facility in Buda. This expansion is expected to create 165 new jobs and bring in over $120 million in capital investment. The expansion has been made possible through a grant of $1,072,500 from the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF). US Foods Area President Taylor McIntyre expressed gratitude towards the Office of the Texas Governor for their support and emphasized the company's commitment to continue growing and enhancing their partnership with foodservice operators in the region.

The expansion is expected to have a positive impact on Central Texas' distribution network as well. Senator Judith Zaffirini stated that it will enhance food distribution along the I-35 corridor, especially to Austin's renowned food scene.

Local officials also expressed their excitement about US Foods' expansion. Buda Mayor Lee Urbanovsky said that it was a top priority for City Council to keep US Foods in Buda and thanked Governor Abbott for his support.
