~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kirsten Cohoon as the new Presiding Judge of the Sixth Administrative Judicial Region. Cohoon, who currently serves as judge of the 451st Judicial District Court in Kendall County, will hold this position for a term of four years from the date of her qualification.
Cohoon brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as the place seven director of the State Bar of Texas Judicial Section and secretary of the Texas Association of District Judges. She is also actively involved in her community, serving as a board member for the Boerne Education Foundation and volunteering at Currey Creek Baptist Church.
