Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Foster To ERCOT Board Selection Committee

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Paul Foster to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Board Selection Committee. Foster, a prominent figure in the business world, will serve on the committee for a term that will expire at the pleasure of the Governor.

Foster, who hails from El Paso, is well-known as the founder and CEO of Franklin Mountain Investments and Franklin Mountain Energy. He also previously served as the executive chairman of Western Refining, Inc. With an impressive resume, Foster brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

Aside from his successful business ventures, Foster is also actively involved in various organizations and boards. He currently serves as a member of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees, Borderplex Alliance Executive Committee, and the World Presidents Organization. He is also a director at WestStar Bank in El Paso.

Foster's previous leadership roles include serving as chairman of the ERCOT Board of Directors, The University of Texas/Texas A&M Investment Management Company (UTIMCO), and The University of Texas (UT) System Board of Regents. He has also been a member of the UT System University Lands Advisory Board, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Texas Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, and the El Paso Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Foster holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Baylor University. With his extensive background and qualifications, he is sure to make valuable contributions to the ERCOT Board Selection Committee.
