~ Governor Greg Abbott has recently announced the appointment of Daniel Harper to the State Pension Review Board. Harper, who hails from Kyle, will serve on the board until January 31, 2029. As a member of the board, Harper will be responsible for reviewing all Texas public retirement systems to ensure they are financially sound and in compliance with state laws.

Harper brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He currently serves as the vice chancellor and chief financial officer for the Texas State University System. In addition, he is also the chairman of the Kyle Housing Authority and a member of the Texas Association of College and University Business Officers Executive Committee.
