AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kristen Luckey to the Podiatric Medical Examiners Advisory Board for a term set to expire on February 1, 2027. The Advisory Board provides advice and recommendations to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on technical matters relevant to the regulation of the practice of podiatry.
Kristin Luckey of Harlingen is director of marketing and publicity for the Marine Military Academy. Additionally, she is club administrator of the Harlingen Rotary Club and has served as a board member of CASA of Cameron and Willacy County, Harlingen Literacy Center, and United Way of Northern Cameron County. She is a board member of the Harlingen Visitors and Convention Center Bureau, Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum Advisory Board. She also volunteers for Blue Sunday Child Abuse Prevention and Loaves and Fishes food pantry. Luckey is a graduate of Harlingen South High School and earned certifications in social media management, grant development, business communications, and fundraising from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
