Furthermore, under Section 418.017 of the Texas Government Code, Governor Abbott has authorized the suspension of any regulatory statute or order that may hinder necessary action in response to this disaster. The Governor's proclamation also states that copies will be filed with applicable authorities as required by law. It is signed by Governor Abbott and attested by Secretary of State Jane Nelson.
