Texas: Governor Abbott Reappoints Bickerstaff, Lunceford To Boards For Lease

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed two individuals to the Board for Lease of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Lands and the Board for Lease of Texas Department of Criminal Justice Lands. Cliff Bickerstaff and Erin Lunceford will continue to serve on these boards for terms set to expire on September 1, 2027.

The Boards for Lease were created with the purpose of leasing land owned by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Bickerstaff, a resident of Amarillo, brings a wealth of experience to the Board for Lease of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Lands. He currently serves as a board member and executive vice president of Amarillo National Bank. Additionally, he is a member and former chair of the Amarillo Area Foundation, as well as a member of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association's Finance and Tax Committee. Bickerstaff also serves as a board member for the Amarillo-Potter Events Venue District. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University.

Erin Lunceford, who hails from Houston, has been reappointed to the Board for Lease of Texas Department of Criminal Justice Lands. She is a lawyer who currently practices mediations and arbitrations through Lunceford ADR, LLC. Prior to this, she served as Judge for the 61st Judicial District Court in Harris County. Lunceford is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and is also a certified Medical Malpractice Specialist with the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. She has previously served as a board member for the Houston Bar Association and was also president of the Houston chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Lunceford holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Colorado Boulder and received her Juris Doctor from University of Houston.

Both Bickerstaff and Lunceford have been reappointed by Governor Abbott due to their extensive experience and expertise in their respective fields. Their terms on the Boards for Lease of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Lands and the Board for Lease of Texas Department of Criminal Justice Lands will expire on September 1, 2027. With their continued service, these boards will continue to effectively manage the leasing of land owned by these two important departments in the state of Texas.
