~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed William "Bill" Douglass as the presiding officer of the Grayson County Regional Mobility Authority (RMA). This term is set to expire on February 1, 2028.
The RMA is a political subdivision that works to facilitate local transportation planning and project delivery in partnership with the state. This allows for the efficient delivery of transportation infrastructure projects that serve Grayson County.
Douglass, a resident of Sherman, brings a wealth of experience to his role as presiding officer. He is the former owner and chairman of the board of Douglass Distributing Co. and Douglass Development Company. He has also held leadership positions in various organizations such as the National Association of Convenience Stores, American Petroleum Institute, and the Fuels Institute (now known as the Transportation Energy Institute).
