This renewal comes as the state continues to grapple with the ongoing crisis at the border. Governor Abbott has been vocal about his concerns and has taken action to address the situation, including deploying National Guard troops and requesting federal assistance.

The governor's proclamation serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by Texas and its communities due to the surge of individuals crossing the border. As this disaster continues, it is clear that more efforts will be needed to address and mitigate its impact on the affected counties and state agencies.
