Texas: Governor Abbott Statement On Preliminary Injunction Against SB 4

~ In a recent statement, Governor Greg Abbott expressed his determination to defend Texas' constitutional right to protect itself. This comes after a federal judge granted the Biden Administration's motion for a preliminary injunction against Senate Bill 4, which was signed into law by the Governor in December 2023.

Governor Abbott made it clear that Texas will not back down in its fight against President Biden's border crisis. He emphasized that the President has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws that protect states, including those that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. However, with the ongoing failure of President Biden to fulfill this duty and protect Texas from the invasion at its southern border, the state has no choice but to defend itself.

The Governor also noted that even though this decision was made by a District Judge, it will ultimately be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. As such, Texas will immediately appeal this ruling and continue its efforts to safeguard its borders and nation from this crisis.
