~ In a recent statement, Governor Greg Abbott expressed his disappointment with Vice President Kamala Harris' continued refusal to address the ongoing border crisis. The governor had previously sent a letter to Vice President Harris three years ago, shortly after she was appointed as Border Czar by President Joe Biden, urging her to take swift action and visit the border to witness the crisis firsthand.

Governor Abbott stated, "More than three years ago, I sent a letter to Vice President Harris imploring her, in her role as President Biden's point-person on illegal immigration, to address nine urgent concerns. These included cracking down on human trafficking and preventing more children from being trafficked and abused due to the border crisis." He also extended an invitation for her to visit the border and see for herself the dire situation under her leadership.

However, despite receiving Governor Abbott's letter outlining these pressing concerns, Vice President Harris has failed to take any significant action. As a result, tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors have been allowed to cross the border under the Biden-Harris Administration without any accountability. Governor Abbott emphasized that these children are potential victims of human trafficking who have been left vulnerable and subjected to unspeakable horrors.

Furthermore, despite numerous demands from Americans across the country, Vice President Harris has refused to visit the border and witness firsthand the millions of illegal immigrants entering the country under her administration. According to Governor Abbott, over 11 million illegal immigrants have entered the United States since Biden and Harris took office – almost four times the population of Houston. Shockingly, among these illegal entries are 383 known terrorists who were apprehended while attempting to cross illegally.

Governor Abbott also highlighted two recent attacks by violent illegal immigrants in Texas that resulted in innocent victims being harmed. He stated that if Vice President Harris had taken her job seriously and addressed the border crisis earlier on, Jocelyn Nungaray would still be alive today and a San Antonio police officer would not have been shot by an illegal immigrant last weekend.

As Vice President Harris prepares to visit Texas once again this week, Governor Abbott is once again urging her to take action and put an end to the ongoing assaults and deaths of Americans at the hands of illegal immigrants. He believes that supporting the Justice for Jocelyn Act in the United States Senate and working with senators to pass it would be a positive step towards achieving this goal. The governor hopes that Vice President Harris will finally take her responsibilities seriously and address the pressing issues at the border.
