WASHINGTON, Feb. 4, 2025 ~ San Antonio, TX - Placemakr, a leading flexible-use hospitality and multifamily operator, has announced the launch of its newest property, The Continental, powered by Placemakr. This exciting development is a result of a partnership with Weston Urban and will be located in the new Continental Block Development.
The Continental will bring new life to one of San Antonio's architectural gems, the historic Continental Hotel. The building will be transformed into 28 cutting-edge furnished apartment units for short-term hospitality stays. Guests can now book these apartment-style accommodations, with studio and one or two-bedroom units available for stays beginning in March.
This project is the first phase of Weston Urban's ambitious 1.9-acre redevelopment project, which also includes 290 mixed-income housing units and 22,000 square feet of retail and commercial space. The development aligns with the nearby University of Texas at San Antonio downtown campus expansion and recently completed San Pedro Creek restoration projects, all contributing to the revitalization of the downtown area.
