Undrafted Free Agent LaShaun Sanders is Navigating this Covid Era with Positivity

DALLAS - Txylo -- Covid-19 has had a huge impact on the current world of sports. With everything going on a few things in day-to-day lives have been different and harder to adjust to. Black Diamond client, LaShaun Sanders, has had to make many different changes as a result of the pandemic.

LaShaun is a free agent cornerback from Capital University, currently looking for a team to call home. LaShaun has been able to work more on the field instead of in the gym because of Covid-19. This has allowed him to get more position training as well as get faster and stronger. LaShaun has also decided to hire a trainer, which is something he has never done before. His trainer is keeping him on target to his goal, and has helped keep him disciplined. It is easy to think of this pandemic as being negative, LaShaun has been able to see the positive effects of the long break, from his ability to spend more time with his family.

LaShaun has been playing football for as long as he can remember, and he credits his mother's support through all of it as his foundation. His mom has not only been his biggest supporter, but also his role model growing up.

"She made me the person I am today," said LaShaun.

LaShaun has had a great support system and a great experience of playing football. In the next five years, LaShaun hopes to be playing football professionally as he has always dreamed.
