AUSTIN, Texas - Txylo -- United Heritage Credit Union is proud to announce a $13,000 donation to Breast Cancer Resource Center through its Charity Foundation. This contribution reflects the Foundation's ongoing commitment to supporting health and wellness initiatives that provide critical resources, education, and compassionate care to individuals facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) continues its mission to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Since its founding in 1995, BCRC has provided personalized Patient Navigation services to more than 1,200 clients and nearly 3,000 family members, offering guidance and emotional support through every stage of diagnosis and treatment. In 2022, BCRC's reach expanded to 47 states and five countries, a testament to the strength of its community and fundraising efforts.
As part of this commitment, United Heritage Credit Union also served as the Community Roots sponsor for BCRC's annual Art Bra Austin event, one of the organization's most iconic and impactful fundraisers. Held in Austin, TX, Art Bra celebrates the strength and creativity of breast cancer survivors through a powerful runway show featuring artful, custom-designed bras. The event raises vital funds to support BCRC's services while spotlighting the stories and resilience of those impacted by breast cancer. This year's event raised over $900,000, directly benefiting the individuals and families BCRC serves across Central Texas.
