AUSTIN, Texas, June 18, 2025 ~ The Foundation for Asthma and Allergy Impact and Rescue (AAIR) is set to showcase its highly acclaimed Pediatric Asthma and Food Allergy Diagnosis Kits at the 2025 National Association of School Nurses (NASN) Conference in Austin, Texas. As the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring children are Rescued at School, Healthy at Home, and Connected to Care, AAIR is committed to advancing early identification and support for children living with asthma and allergies.

The kits, which have already been distributed to children by school nurses and health professionals across the country, will be featured at an upcoming "Party with a Purpose" event during the conference. This event will provide hundreds of NASN conference attendees with the opportunity to assemble 1,250 life-saving tools in a fun and high-energy setting. The goal is to simplify and strengthen the diagnostic journey for children by providing them with essential resources such as visual symptom identification tools, a common triggers guide, step-by-step support for families navigating new diagnoses, multilingual education materials for parents, links to local care and school-based programs, and medical equipment.

According to Chris Martinez, CEO of AAIR, these kits are part of a larger effort to ensure that every child can breathe easily. He expressed his honor in sharing these resources that have already made a significant impact on care in schools and homes across the country. He also looks forward to connecting with more school nurses who are on the frontlines of child health.

The New Diagnosis Kits are just one aspect of AAIR's comprehensive strategy to reduce asthma and allergy-related school absences, emergency visits, health disparities, and healthcare costs for states. The foundation also operates the largest stock albuterol initiative in the country and partners with schools through its RESCUE Schools program.

In addition to their efforts in providing essential resources for children with asthma and allergies, AAIR has also been instrumental in advocating for legislative changes. They were behind the passing of two laws in Texas, House Bill 549 and Senate Bill 1619, which expand access to asthma and allergy care in schools and modernize fast-acting epinephrine laws to include all FDA approved delivery devices. These laws ensure that every child in Texas has access to school-based support, medications, and clear guidance following an asthma or allergy diagnosis. The next step for AAIR is to secure funding for these life-saving interventions in schools.
